This handbook serves as your ROLDA Volunteer training guide! You’ll find all the information you need to get started and succeed in your volunteer role.
Thank you for your interest in joining the Romanian League in Defense of Animals (ROLDA) volunteer team! At ROLDA, our mission drives us to transform the lives of animals in need. We care for the homeless, abused, malnourished, or abandoned animals of Romania and Ukraine. With unwavering dedication and a commitment to using our limited resources responsibly, efficiently, and transparently, we strive to make a more significant impact year after year. Together, we can create a brighter future for animals in need!
Let me tell you a bit about us…
ROLDA is a small, dedicated team with members spanning the globe, from the US and UK to Australia, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, and, of course, Romania.
Our commitment is to ensure that most of our funding goes directly towards supporting our shelters and rescue operations. We need volunteers to help us continue our vital work for animals in need.
Make a difference for animals in Romania, whether at the shelter or from home.
A little about you…
Can you relate to any of the following?
- Self-motivated but also able to work as a team.
- Resilient – very important, we need people who won’t quit easily!
- Eager to take initiative.
- Flexible – so needed when volunteering and work with a small team.
- A skill you can bring? All levels of expertise are welcome, from administration, IT, social media, project management, fundraising, web and graphic design, customer service skills.
Whether you’re experienced in administration, IT, social media, project management, fundraising, web and graphic design, or customer service, we welcome volunteers of all expertise levels. Your distinct talents are exactly what we need to make a significant and lasting change.
What happens next?
Your application will be reviewed.
Attend an info session with Corrine.
Receive the Volunteer Pack (the t-shirt “I volunteer for ROLDA What’s your superpower?”, an assorted tote bag).
Get access to a dedicated Facebook group.
NOTE
Once we have received your volunteer application, please be aware that a background check will be carried out before your volunteering status is confirmed.
If the application is approved, we will ask for a copy front and back of your identity card and driving license.
