Volunteer Challenge initiative
ROLDA is seeking creative volunteers to take part in our “Volunteer Challenge” initiative — designing and promoting environmentally friendly shelters for vulnerable animals. This role combines innovation, sustainability, and animal welfare, helping create practical solutions that can support animals in Switzerland and in the regions where ROLDA operates, including Romania, Ukraine, and Palestine.
What You’ll Do
- Eco-Shelter Design: Design and build weather-resistant dog or cat shelters using recycled or repurposed materials, with a focus on sustainability and durability.
- Creative Innovation: Develop practical, low-cost shelter models that can easily be reproduced using accessible materials.
- Promotion & Awareness: Share and promote these eco-friendly shelter ideas with animal shelters and rescue organisations across Switzerland, encouraging adoption of sustainable solutions.
- Public Engagement: Use the project as a creative awareness campaign that highlights the link between environmental responsibility and animal welfare.
- Strategic Placement: Identify and propose suitable locations where these shelters could be placed (with permission), providing protection for stray or vulnerable animals.
- International Application: Help develop models and concepts that could also be replicated in the regions ROLDA supports, including Romania, Ukraine, and Palestine.
- Brand Visibility: Incorporate the ROLDA logo into the shelter design to help increase awareness of the organisation’s mission and work.
