Become a Grant Researcher for ROLDA Australia
#GiveHope to animals that have no one else
Behind every dog rescued from a Romanian roadside, and every animal pulled from a warzone in Ukraine, is funding that had to be found before the rescue could happen. As a Grant Researcher, you’d help find it using your writing and research skills to connect ROLDA with the corporate partners and funders who can keep this work going.
This is a remote volunteer role, perfect for someone who enjoys writing and research, cares about animal welfare, and is comfortable working independently to deliver real, practical support.
What This Role Involves:
- As a Grant Researcher, you’ll help identify trusts, foundations, and funding opportunities that align with ROLDA’s mission, and help shape the proposals we send their way. You’ll be supported by your Volunteer Coordinator throughout, and given clear guidance on what’s needed. The role is built around flexibility, so you can fit it around your own schedule and availability.
- You’ll help ROLDA find and connect with funders, researching trusts and foundations that are a good fit for our work, helping put together grant applications, and later, helping pull together the stories and updates that show funders the difference their support made. It’s a role where you will help shape the support our animals need.
- Some experience with grant writing or fundraising is a bonus, but it’s not essential. A clear writing style, an eye for detail, and a genuine interest in animal welfare matter just as much.
Why This Role Matters
- Funding doesn’t happen by accident, it takes research, thoughtful writing, and someone willing to make the case for why a cause deserves support. As a Grant Researcher, your contribution goes directly toward that: helping ROLDA build relationships with funders and corporates who believe in our mission.
- Every proposal you help shape becomes part of a much bigger picture: shelter, food, and medical care for dogs and cats in Romania and Ukraine who have no one else to speak for them.
