Champion
Support ROLDA’s fundraising efforts by completing clearly defined, behind-the-scenes tasks that help strengthen our ability to care for animals in need. - Work independently using written guidance
- Contribute on an as-needed, flexible basis
This is a specialist role intended for volunteers who already have relevant experience and are comfortable working autonomously.

- The ability to follow written instructions and meet deadlines independently
This role is not intended as a training or entry-level opportunity.
Examples of Champion tasks may include:
- Prospect research using predefined criteria
- Data review or cleanup tasks
- Grant Research
- Corporate Partners Research
- Preparing draft lists, summaries, or background notes
- One-off administrative support for fundraising activities
All tasks will be clearly defined, time-bound, and independent (no donor interaction or relationship management).
What the Role Does Not Include:
To ensure sustainability, Fundraising Champions do not:
- Receive live training or shadow staff
- Communicate directly with donors
- Manage other volunteers
- Require regular check-ins or ongoing supervision
Oversight & Support:
- The Volunteer Coordinator oversees recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer support
- Development Manager and fundraising staff provide written task instructions and review completed work
Participation is flexible, and volunteers may step back at any time without impact on staff workflows.
If you’re ready to lead our fundraising efforts and drive positive change for animals in need, we’d love to hear from you!
Your work helps make a meaningful difference, while quietly strengthening the foundation that allows ROLDA’s mission to thrive.
