ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) was founded to rescue and rehabilitate vulnerable animals. With your help, we can amplify our efforts and reach even more supporters online. As a Community Digital & Content Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in building ROLDA UK’s online visibility.
Role Overview:
The Volunteer Team Leader is a key role in the ROLDA UK volunteer program, responsible for leading, motivating, and managing volunteers, including community engagement and social media volunteers. This position will help form and coordinate volunteer groups, guide fundraising efforts, and inspire the team to bring in donations for ROLDA UK’s animal welfare projects. The Leaders will also serve as a liaison between volunteers and the ROLDA UK management team to ensure that all activities align with the organisation’s mission to support stray animals and raise awareness about their welfare needs.
- Connect and engage local communities to raise awareness about the organisation’s mission and animal welfare initiatives.
- Plan and organise local community events.
- Help recruit, inspire, and support volunteers with guidance and motivation.
- Help us promote awareness by sharing our community initiatives and activities through social media and other platforms.
- Be the face of the organisation at community events and meetings as you build and develop local community volunteer teams.
- Get together with management to make sure our community activities are in line with our mission and goals.
Skills and qualifications:
- Candidates who have previous experience leading volunteer groups or teams are our preference.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups of people, inspire volunteers, and effectively communicate ROLDA UK’s mission and goals.
- Knowledge of fundraising techniques, experience with event planning, or online fundraising is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A genuine commitment to ROLDA UK’s mission to help stray and abandoned animals.
