A Year of Compassion: ROLDA’s 2025 Rescue Highlights
As 2025 comes to a close, here at ROLDA, we’re taking a heartfelt look back at a year filled with challenges, triumphs, and unwavering compassion. Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, ROLDA was able to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome hundreds of animals—and bring hope to even more.
This year wasn’t just about numbers. It was about lives changed—both animal and human—and the power of love, persistence, and teamwork.
Milestones That Made an Impact
● Over 90.000 Animals Rescued
From the freezing streets of Romania to conflict zones in Ukraine, our team worked tirelessly to give stray, abandoned, and injured animals a second chance at life. Among the rescues were dogs with broken limbs, malnourished mothers and their litters, and senior animals left to fend for themselves.
● Successful Adoptions
Thanks to our adoption partners and dedicated fosters, hundreds of dogs and cats found their forever homes, stretching from Europe to the United States and beyond.
Unforgettable Rescue Stories
Lew’s Journey
Found with a severe eye infection caused by untreated feline herpes, Lew the cat underwent life-saving surgery and months of recovery in foster care. Today, Lew is living her best life in a warm, loving home. Her story touched thousands and became a symbol of resilience.
Missy’s Battle With Parvo
Just a puppy when she was diagnosed with parvovirus, Missy’s odds were slim. But through round-the-clock care and sheer determination, she pulled through. Missy now lives with a retired couple who call her their “miracle pup.”
The Ukraine Emergency Aid Convoys
Throughout 2025, we continued to send emergency aid to shelters and communities impacted by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Thanks to your donations, food, medicine, and protective gear were delivered to rescuers in need and saved countless lives.

The road ahead won’t be easy. There are still thousands of animals in desperate need of help, and every day brings new challenges. But with your continued support, we’ll keep showing up for every tail wag, every paw shake, and every second chance.
